Cool sweaters to buy so you don't die from hypothermia
I don't know about you but it's autumn (groundbreaking) and I'm freezing.
I have this thing called Raynaud's Syndrome. It's a medical thing. Basically my circulation sucks. When I'm cold the blood vessels in my arms, legs, feet and hands freak out, because my blood rapidly flows to my major organs to support them. For this reason, I look like I have chicken pox from October to April.
This complicates things.
I just want to show up to work in thick workout leggings and hoodies. I have actually done this, hence the nickname 'sporty spice.' I need to find the latest and greatest pair of gloves that allow you to operate your iPhone. When I get cold, looking good generally goes down the drain.
But if there's one thing I can count on during on winter, it's a warm sweater. I have become obsessed with sweaters. If you get the right one, you can wear it out and you won't look like you're simply swimming in fabric.
Obviously Aritizia is a popular destination for me lately. Aritzia names its sweaters with people names which is interesting - but if they didn't then I would anyway. New sweaters are basically like newborn children. They should be named and valued.
Here are my thoughts on some sweaters that are currently available. Some of them are plain dumb and some of them I love.
I just bought this. Apparently that Kardashian chick wore this sweater. I could be wrong. I tried to get it last year but apparently girls went ape shit over this so I had to choose between other ones. This is my favourite sweater, but not because a Kardashian wore it.
This is the Mical sweater and it's by Wilfred Free. I'm kind of on the fence with this one. I think this is very "Hi, I work in a corporate office but I can still look good." Something like that? I don't think I'd buy this for myself but I'd wear it if someone got it for me.
I bought this one too. Huge advocate. Designed by The Group by Babaton this is super comfy. It's made with merino wool and 'yak' - no idea as to how to handle this material to be honest. I'm consistently an XS in all the sweaters and that's what I chose for this one. They're all so baggy anyway that you can't really tell a difference.
Sitting at $175, this is one of those items from Aritizia that makes you ponder whether or not you're willing to eat those chicken flavoured ichiban noodles for half a month. Most girls are down, which makes this decision an easy one to make. I definitely plan on getting this. My legs would fall off from the cold - a little counterintuitive - but sometimes you need to make sacrifices in life.
I would rather spend $145 on something like plastic forks than I would on this sweater. But seriously, this is so awkward. A lot of people might call this vintage or 80s inspired (I don't know) but I would never wear this. Thoughts?
I WANT THISSSSSS. Who wouldn't want this!? I'd love to wear this with black skinnies and my knee high boots or perhaps tucked into a black leather skirt. This is on my list of life priorities.
This sweater is about as conservative as its name. It's so unattractive, especially with the zipper. Because of the zipper and the awkward blue alignment, this wouldn't match with any of your clothing IMO. I think this sweater was originally made for figure skating coaches but it accidentally wound up in Aritizia due to a cataloging mistake or a bad day on the stock market. I feel like this is also something my high school gym coach Miss. Thorne would wear. Made by the Group by Babaton. Buy if you dare.
You can tell without checking the label that this is a classic Wilfred piece. I don't have this but I really like it. I think it would be cute for a date because it shows your silhouette.
These are just a few of the sweaters I like. I'd love to check out Uniqlo for some but I've never been. Zara can be good but a lot of theirs are a little too creative for me. If anyone has any recommendations then let me know!
